I. MOD INFO

Adds a new crafting station complete with a 10 level skill, several custom buffs, social interactions and new a craftable – nectar ( alcoholic drink).

– NECTAR MAKING PROCESS

  • Has custom animations
  1.  Sim stomps on the nectar making container bowl 
  2.  Then waits for processing of the bottle. 
  3.  Following the processing the sim then pours the nectar into a bottle
  4.  If the nectar maker is dirty you might get poor quality nectar bottles.
  •  Do not interrupt the sim during the nectar making process ( may cause errors)

    V. NECTAR BOTTLE

    – DETAILS

    • Nectar Bottle is crafted by Make Nectar and Combine Nectar Flavours interaction.
    • After crafting process is completed, the sim sets down the nectar bottle on the nearest terrain or surface.
    • Base price : Single ingredient Nectar – 150 simoleons ; Combo nectar – 250 simoleons.
    • Price increments are based on quality and the nectar making skill of the sim.

      – INTERACTIONS

      1. Open Bottle – Gives 6 glasses of nectar in the sim’s inventory

      2. Name – Rename the nectar Bottle

      3. Sell to Restaurant – Unlocks at skill level 6. Sell at 1.5 x price. 
      Buff – Restaurant Ravings ( +2 Happy, 120 sim minutes)

      4. Sell to Connoisseur – Unlocks at skill level 10. Sell at 2x the price.
      Buff – Avante garde Nectar( +2 Inspired, 120 sim minutes)

      – DETAILS

      • Opening a bottle of nectar will give 6 glasses of nectar in the sim inventory
      • Can be sold – Retail shops, City Living Cart
      • Nectar Glasses are also available from the Professional Bar ( if you have Custom drink interaction Mod)
      • Nectar glasses can be crafted by a mixologist with a high enough skill ( I imagine that mixologist buys the bottle and pours the nectar into glasses)
      • Glasses of nectar can be bought directly from the Professional Bar.
      • Available from the Dine Out Restaurant menu ( under drinks)

      • Adds various levels of nectar drinking buffs ( See under nectar drinking )
      • Adds to nectarism/nectar Addiction

      VII. NECTAR ADDICTION

      – NECTAR DRINKING BUFFS

      Drinking glasses of nectar gives different levels of buffs depending upon the no. of glasses drunk and how quickly the nectar is consumed. Each buff will be accompanied by various effects on sims’s motives and push them to do certain social interactions.
      • Pleasantly Buzzed ( +2 Happy, 2 sim hours)
      • Tipsy ( +2 Confident, 3 sim hours)
      • Drunk ( +3 Energized, 4 sim hours )
      • Sloshed ( +5 Dazed, 5 sim hours)
      • Hungover ( + 4 Uncomfortable, 3 sim hours)


        To get fully sloshed, the sim has to drink 4 glasses of nectar back to back.

        – NECTARISM/NECTAR ADDICTION

        • After sufficient nectar drinking, the sim can experience some occasional craving buffs.
        • Nectar Addiction can be removed by clicking ‘Quit nectar Addiction‘ on the sim.
        • After quitting addiction, the addiction statistic resets
        • Becoming addicted is a very slow process and the sim would not see any effects unless they drink nectar all the time.( may not see during normal gameplay)

        VIII. VAMPIRES

        • Vampires can drink Plasma nectar and Blood Mary Nectar
        • Fills Vampire thirst
        • Adds buff Vampiric sustenance (+2 Happy, 2 sim hours)
        Will add other occult specific nectars in the future

        X. Compatibility with Custom drink interaction Mod


        If you have the Custom drink interaction on MTS, then the nectar glasses will appear on the professional Bar menu under ‘Make Custom drinks‘ and ‘Buy Custom drinks‘ Interaction

        XI. Issues

        1. Nectar Maker Requires a base to be placed
        2. 🚩🚫Cannot be placed in a room with a ceiling. Turn on move objects (bb.moveobjects) to be able to place it indoors. 
        3. Interrupting the nectar making process may produce errors
        4. The empty glass from catalogue may crash the game. DO NOT CLICK IT.
        5. The sims require seating to drink the nectar. ( Will look into this more)
        6. After pouring nectar into glass while using a bar, the sim would either drink ( can be cancelled) or put down the nectar bottle. This nectar bottle is as good as new and will have the relevant interactions.
        7. The pouring animation for nectar making lacks a prop atm. I will try to add a prop in the future.
        8. The recolouring presets are a bit higher above the mesh. Zoom out when using the design tool.

        XII. REQUIREMENTS

        A. HARVESTABLES – 

        If you do not have the harvestables installed, the nectar will just show no ingredient requirement. 

        The harvestables are NOT MANDATORY for the mod. The nectars can still be made, but the nectars will lack ingredients required.

        4. I became curious as to whether or not it might be something wrong with the machine itself after I upgraded it to self-cleaning, so I tried selling the nectar maker and buying a new un-upgraded one. Now it's allowing me to make nectars of “normal” quality, but still not allowing me to make “excellent” ones.

        5. Update – it would seem that it was the upgrade of the machine that was causing the issues. Now that I've sold the nectar maker and bought a new one, and have not upgraded it, I am able to create the excellent quality nectars.

        17. Hello I have a problem with your mod. He considers the vat as a counter which makes that Dirty plates are deposited there or even prepared meals. Unable to retrieve them unless you go into purchasing mode. But once removed a new dish is placed there. I don't know if I was very clear English is not my mother tongue thank you

        21. Hey…unfortunately this is an issue with the game. There is no way to know which counters/appliances the sim would choose to perform certain actions. Even if there is a counter beside them they may sometimes walk away and place the stuff on a counter in another room. I have tried my bst to block out these actions but in certain house arrangements/floorplans, this is unavoidable.

        28. You cannot drink the bottle directly ( i disabled this because I couldnt stop the sims from autonomously drinking all the bottles). You need to open the bottle—> you will get 6 glasses of nectar in your inventory which you will be able to drink.

        35. I notice that when I make a bottle of Mango Nectar and select the “Open Bottle” option it turns into glass of Apple Nectar. Is there any way to fix this?

        38. Hi I really love your mod! However there is small issue where after my sims finished with making the nectar somehow my sims can't perform the “grab a bottle” or grab a drink”. Is there any way to fix it? Thank you!

        39. Try replacing the machine from the build buy catalogue. Upgrading the machine can sometime cause this issue. Was your sim interrupted in any way when performing the actions ? Do you have an LE ?

        42. 1. Search by 'nectar'2. Place the nectarmaker placement first3. Then place the nectar maker machine on top of the white marker4. If you cannot place by above method ( indoors and in basements), you need to turn move objects on

Hi icemum 🙂 I adore this wonderful mod, but I cant for the life of me get my sim to drink his wine, there are sofas, bed, dinner chairs about and ive made them sit in all of them and then click the wine from his inventory to drink but I still get the arm waving. I have not updaded this mod for the longest time, this is the first time ive really used it, is it that I need to update it or is something else going on? Thank you 🙂

        47. Can they drink when they are standing ? That is quite starnge because they should be able to drink it sitting. Do you have any mods which may alter routing/drinks/food/posture of any kind ? Are you getting LEs ?

        48. No they wave their arms standing too, I don't have any routing mods, I only use mccommand center, your mods, the food group mods, a couple of littlemisssams mods, the srsly sims food overhaul mod, and im not getting any le`s while trying to drink.

        49. hello, unfortunately my game is too CC-heavy for me to use the search engine and Ive been having trouble finding the nectar maker base (not the nectar maker itself i found it in appliances) :(( can you please tell me which category I can find it in?? I tried looked everywhere from misc appliances to hobbies to decoratives and still. thank you.
