V. NECTAR BOTTLE
– DETAILS
- Nectar Bottle is crafted by Make Nectar and Combine Nectar Flavours interaction.
- After crafting process is completed, the sim sets down the nectar bottle on the nearest terrain or surface.
- Base price : Single ingredient Nectar – 150 simoleons ; Combo nectar – 250 simoleons.
- Price increments are based on quality and the nectar making skill of the sim.

1. Open Bottle – Gives 6 glasses of nectar in the sim’s inventory2. Name – Rename the nectar Bottle
3. Sell to Restaurant – Unlocks at skill level 6. Sell at 1.5 x price.
Buff – Restaurant Ravings ( +2 Happy, 120 sim minutes)
4. Sell to Connoisseur – Unlocks at skill level 10. Sell at 2x the price.
Buff – Avante garde Nectar( +2 Inspired, 120 sim minutes)

– DETAILS
- Opening a bottle of nectar will give 6 glasses of nectar in the sim inventory
- Can be sold – Retail shops, City Living Cart
- Nectar Glasses are also available from the Professional Bar ( if you have Custom drink interaction Mod)
- Nectar glasses can be crafted by a mixologist with a high enough skill ( I imagine that mixologist buys the bottle and pours the nectar into glasses)
- Glasses of nectar can be bought directly from the Professional Bar.
- Available from the Dine Out Restaurant menu ( under drinks)

VII. NECTAR ADDICTION
– NECTAR DRINKING BUFFS
Drinking glasses of nectar gives different levels of buffs depending upon the no. of glasses drunk and how quickly the nectar is consumed. Each buff will be accompanied by various effects on sims’s motives and push them to do certain social interactions.
- Pleasantly Buzzed ( +2 Happy, 2 sim hours)
- Tipsy ( +2 Confident, 3 sim hours)
- Drunk ( +3 Energized, 4 sim hours )
- Sloshed ( +5 Dazed, 5 sim hours)
- Hungover ( + 4 Uncomfortable, 3 sim hours)
To get fully sloshed, the sim has to drink 4 glasses of nectar back to back.
– NECTARISM/NECTAR ADDICTION
- After sufficient nectar drinking, the sim can experience some occasional craving buffs.
- Nectar Addiction can be removed by clicking ‘Quit nectar Addiction‘ on the sim.
- After quitting addiction, the addiction statistic resets
- Becoming addicted is a very slow process and the sim would not see any effects unless they drink nectar all the time.( may not see during normal gameplay)
VIII. VAMPIRES
- Vampires can drink Plasma nectar and Blood Mary Nectar
- Fills Vampire thirst
- Adds buff Vampiric sustenance (+2 Happy, 2 sim hours)
Will add other occult specific nectars in the future

- Share Nectar Making Secrets (under Friendly)
- Joke About Nectar (Under Funny)

X. Compatibility with Custom drink interaction Mod
If you have the Custom drink interaction on MTS, then the nectar glasses will appear on the professional Bar menu under ‘Make Custom drinks‘ and ‘Buy Custom drinks‘ Interaction
XI. Issues
- Nectar Maker Requires a base to be placed
- 🚩🚫Cannot be placed in a room with a ceiling. Turn on move objects (bb.moveobjects) to be able to place it indoors.
- Interrupting the nectar making process may produce errors
- The empty glass from catalogue may crash the game. DO NOT CLICK IT.
- The sims require seating to drink the nectar. ( Will look into this more)
- After pouring nectar into glass while using a bar, the sim would either drink ( can be cancelled) or put down the nectar bottle. This nectar bottle is as good as new and will have the relevant interactions.
- The pouring animation for nectar making lacks a prop atm. I will try to add a prop in the future.
- The recolouring presets are a bit higher above the mesh. Zoom out when using the design tool.

If you do not have the harvestables installed, the nectar will just show no ingredient requirement.
The harvestables are NOT MANDATORY for the mod. The nectars can still be made, but the nectars will lack ingredients required.

Hi, awesome that you brought this to sims 4 thank you!! I wish the xbox had mod capability.. recall with the original necter making you could store your necter in racks and it would age and become more valuable over time. would that be possible with your mod? might make me switch to pc even though I spent hundreds on all the expansions on console

I'm having trouble freezing when messing with nectar creation. I updated my game to Batuu that night and when I tried to make nectar everything froze. I tried to cancel the action and restart the sims but I couldn't even click on anything. Time stopped, everything stopped and the file did not generate any LE because I had to force the game to close. My sims have been trying to leave dishes on the stand as well, and I'm not sure what happened. Freezing is not a constant and occurs occasionally when preparing nectar. Could you take a look if there is something wrong?

About sims leavving dishes..it can be because your sims dont have any accessible counter. The stand is based on a counter tuning so sims want to treat it as such if they cant access another counter :(. Can you tell me whether your nectar maker was in a regular world ? Does this occur while making all the different nectar bottles or for some bottles ? Are any NAPs active in your neighbourhood ? Is the nectar maker placed inside with cheats or outside ? is the surroundings crowded ? Do you have any other mods which can affect drinks/fridge/counter/coffeemachine/stove etc ?

Hi IceyMunMun, you say the files have been update for June 2020 but simfileshare are dated as Nov 2019 and so are google drive files and it doesnt even list Nectar Maker Placement file. Just thought you should know.

Hey the Nov 2019 date of the Simfileshare is the upload date.Unfortunately sfs no longer shows the update date :(. The nectar placement file is not required as it is already present in the base file! I have updated the google drive files

update: i found the sauvignon blanc in the restaurant menu, so that one was on me. oops! the bottle still gives blackberry, though, and i can't seem to get any of the nectars from the custom grapes from the bar.

I have been unable to open the bottle of Ebony Arbor as well, however I have been able to buy glasses of it at a bar, so you can try that as a workaround. I absolutely love this mod but I do have one suggestion: all of the emotions are represented except for flirty and confident. The Woohoo on the Beach bottle, in particular, should give off the flirty emotion instead of energized, I think. Is it possible to change some of the bottles so that the give a flirty or confident emotion instead of energized or inspired? That's the only thing I would change. I love everything about this mod. I just barely started playing the Sims 4 but was already disappointed to see that they hadn't included my favorite item in game. it's not working anymore in my game 😥 My sim just waves her arms everytime I click on drink. I tried it so many times (sitting, standing) she just can't drink it. she can make it and open the bottle, and that's where it stops working. I'm I doing something wrong or is it actually broken? I'm so sad, cause I really looove this mod. You are one of my top fave creators, and I check your site almost daily ❤

When you click to open do you get the glasses in your inventory. I removed the drinking the whole bottle because the sims were obsessively drinking the bottle.

yes, they get it in their inventory, but no matter if i click on drink from inventory or place them somewhere she still just waves her arms

is nectar making a club activity? i wanted to make a club with it but i didn't find the option for nectar making. i'm not sure if it's a feature and there's a bug, or it isn't a feature in the first place. regardless, i'm really enjoying this mod!

I'm having the exact same problem. I downloaded all the files, placed the nectar makers correctly and have fruit in my personal inventory when I go to use it. But when I click on the nectar maker, all I get is a “use” option. When I click on that, the action just disappears from my sims' action box thing. I've moved the nectar makers around, put only one on the lot instead of the original three I had and still nothing. Did you ever resolve your issue?

Hi there, you just need to search for “nectarmaker” under counter. Remember that there is no space between “nectar” and “maker”.

Hi! I downloaded the updated Nectar making and used a Winery spot from the gallery and tried to place the wine bottles in the area. But it keeps saying script failed and disappears. I don't have the mod in a subfolder either.

This is one of my favourite mods on the whole, allowing me to run that little winery and crafts shop I always wanted. It works just fine.However, if a Sim for some reason is interrupted and then tries to go back to collect the finished product later the game throws a script error (and you have to empty the nectarmaker instead, losing the product). It's not a big deal and it certainly does not make the game unplayable. I just wanted to point it out in case you were not aware. 🙂

If you follow the simfileshare link, it will show all the 4 files. The script just adds 2 new interactions to the sim. You can even leave out the script. Wont affect the nectar making gameplay

You have some older version in your folders. Make sure to remove them. Also dont prep food mod may interfere. Can you place the nectarmaker on the placement marker ?

Unfortunately I am not sure whether this will work with earlier versions of the game as I made significant changes to the code for patches

I’m getting a message saying that the tuning is bad on the Base for this mod. Am I doing something wrong or is anyone else having this issue? I have all the ingredients and am really excited about making “Nectar”.

Are you getting an error ? Lastexception.txt? There is a known error of you interrupt the sim while crafting. If you are getting any Lastexception.txt other than that can you send it to me ?
(Just tuning errors are of no consequence as Maxis keeps changing the code around and the program catches these changes. The tuning error message may go away in a future patch when syntax is changed yet again.)

I managed to find a download that I think is working. I got the one that you have with the Bubbly Bottles and it seems to be working.

The Cottage living Raspberries arent being picked up by the nectar maker. Do I need to download the custom ones instead?

Hmm…maybe I used the custom ones as ingredient reference. It will recognize my custom ones. In the next update I will add the EA cottage living ones.
