Details
—— Rice Grain can be found under ‘Misc Appliances’ . [ Search for ‘Rice’ the search bar for easy access]
—— Cost – 5 simoleons
—— Can be planted and harvested
—— Rice is tagged as a Veggie , so can be eaten raw or used in recipes which require Veggie as a cooking ingredient. (Custom recipes to come )
—— Can be sold using City Living Craft sales table, Grocery market stall
—— Toddler compatible (aka toddlers can eat the harvestable, play with the plant)
—— Pets Compatible
—– Growing season : Summer, Fall, Spring
—– Can be planted in freezing temps
Use Increased Hunger Bonus Mod if you want the sims to gain more hunger motive points from eating harvestables
Requirement : Base game compatible

Loving your mods so much, but I've discovered that your eggplant, cocoa and rice won't grow in the basic garden planter box. Is this intended, because all of your others are able to be planted in them. These three, however, the sims complain about the planter and that they can't get to the seed to plant it.

Rice is one of the most important food crops in this world. You can make risotto, sushi, onigiri and all kinds of dishes out of it. You can all so batter cooked rice in a mortar with a pestle to make mochi and add various fillings inside. I would LOVE to see more custom food mods with rice as ingredient in the future.

Hey..I havent had reports about rice being borked ( i have had reports about Kiwi). Are you getting any L ? Can you try planting in a less crowded area of your garden ?

What program should I use to open package files? I have 7-zip file manager and WinRAR. Neither will open them, it says file is unknown or damaged.

Hey, you don't open package files, you simply put them into your Mods folder. You only need to open .zip or .rar files, which typically would contain either (or both) package or script files. I usually just go to the Downloads folder, which is where I download all my files, and from there I move (drag or cut&paste) the package file into the Mods folder.
